After holding a meeting with the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, the highest Algerian authority, Abdelmajid Tebboune, reported that one of the points agreed upon during the work agenda was the activation of the direct airline that will connect the African country with Caracas:
“We have addressed cultural and economic issues in the internal scene of Venezuela and Algeria as well as the international scene. We have decided to open an airline between Algiers and Caracas in the coming months”, said the Algerian president on June 9, in statements to the media.
He added that there was a convergence of views to help the people of Libya to proceed to elections and thus build a new state.
He noted that they also advocated for Palestine to be recognized as a state with its capital in Jerusalem.
The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, was received on June 9 by his counterpart from Algeria at the El Mouradia Presidential Palace.
The presence of President Maduro in Algeria, with which Venezuela has maintained relations for 50 years, will allow the expansion and deepening of bilateral relations between the two nations, as occurred with his trip to Ankara, Turkey, the first stop on this tour of the Eurasian nations.
