President Maduro compares Guaidó with the defeated Zelensky in Ukraine

Zelenski looks more and more like Guaidó, so much as clown and as crude and as defeated as Guaidó, as harmful to his people as Guaidó,” said the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, this Monday, rejecting the statements of the current president of Ukraine who intends to offend Pope Francis, after he proposed to the authorities of that country to start negotiations with Russia and accept its defeat in the war that is taking place in those territories, to avoid more bloodshed.

I know many things that Pope Francis knows. And he knows that this issue of Ukraine has been a great provocation and the time has come to negotiate peace,” said the Venezuelan president, commenting on the statements of the Catholic supreme pontiff, who has been the target of attacks for his clear position regarding what It occurs in Eastern Europe.

President Maduro said that Pope Francis is one of the great moral religious, and also political leaders, who is highly respected in all religions and governments, and if he declares in favor of peace and calls for negotiations to achieve peace he should be listened: “And the one from Ukraine only thinks of badmouthing and offending the Pope.”

He also commented that Ukraine has already lost the conflict that originated more than a year ago due to threats to Russia by the Western imperial powers. And not accepting defeat is a way of making people believe that Russia is in trouble when that is not the case:

I could say from my heart as a man of faith, Pope Francis is right and from Venezuela we devoutly support the words of the pope’s call for peace in Ukraine.”
