President Maduro: The paths of betrayal will never return to Venezuela

Inspired by the patriotism of General Domingo Antonio Sifontes, whose mortal remains rest since Tuesday in the National Pantheon, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, asserted that “the paths of betrayal will never return to Venezuela.”

He emphasized that the desire for domination of the elites who are currently striving to reestablish colonialism will “crash against the strength and courage of the people” who are willing to fight for their right to existence.

From the National Pantheon, located in Caracas, he pointed out that “the empires of the world have attempted to stain the collective ideology of the people of the South, to forever cover up the history of values and heroic resistance” with the aim of demoralizing and “so that we do not believe in the Latin American and Caribbean character of what we are, but, above all, so that we do not believe in what we can be in the future.”

Precisely, in the pursuit of destroying the national dignity, is inscribed the “oligarchy of surnames” which destroyed Simón Bolívar’s original project, ending the Liberation Army:

It is the dream of the American empire, to be able one day to return and license, destroy, demoralize and put an end to the Liberation Army that we have today, which is called the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and we will never allow that under any circumstances, the paths of betrayal will never return to Venezuela,” he stated.

By emphasizing that previously “there was no National Armed Force like now with organization, national structure and with national commands”, the head of State stressed that the example of Domingo Antonio Sifontes must become a transversal line of the daily exercise of the National Bolivarian Armed Forces (FANB), vindicating constitutional values in defense of sovereignty.
