General Oil and Gas License authorizes BCV to financial transactions in this sector

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that the General Oil and Gas License, issued by the Department of the Treasury of the United States of America, also authorizes the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) and the Bank of Venezuela (BDV) for financial transactions related to oil and gas operations in the country.

This Wednesday, the United States Department of the Treasury published a broad license for the production, marketing, exploration, sale, and export of Venezuelan Petroleum, thereby lifting the sanction for oil production and sale. of the product.

During a conversation held at Miraflores Palace between the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, with members of the Dialogue Commission for the Bolivarian Government, the Minister of Economy and Finance also pointed out that “this means why yesterday was issued a license modifying what had to do with the license given to Trinidad and Tobago to export gas from Venezuela.”

Rodríguez explained that the license that is being granted to the Central Bank of Venezuela and the Bank of Venezuela “will allow payment mechanisms to our country.”

This license is also a first step to recompose international legality towards economic, commercial and financial freedoms,” because, “ultimately what is expressed here is the victorious resistance of the Venezuelan people in not recognizing any foreign jurisdiction, but rather the Venezuelan jurisdiction”.

The senior official maintained that “it is a sign that Venezuela and the Venezuelan people have always been right when they said: We have the right to develop oil, to exploit gold, to export gas, which are the natural wealth of our country.”

Rodríguez indicated that this represents a great success for Venezuela and invited people to congratulate all the efforts that have been made, while she advocated that “this beginning of the recomposition of international legality allows the complete lifting of sanctions against Venezuela.”
