Venezuela and Qatar are refining a strategy of cooperation, complementarity and mutual solidarity, said this Monday the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, when referring to the visit carried out by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, to Qatari territory:
“They are very important agreements for investments, economy and cooperation (…) We are two countries with great energy power,” explained the President, stating that the world that is being built is a multilateral and peaceful one.
Rodríguez held a meeting with the Emir of the Arab State, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, in which they ratified the intention to strengthen ties of friendship.
Bilateral relations between Caracas and Doha were raised to a new level of friendship with the visit of President Maduro to Qatari territory in June 2022 and that of the Deputy Prime Minister and Chancellor of Qatar, Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, to Caracas in March 2023.
To date, Venezuela and Qatar maintain technical cooperation ties in agriculture, culture, education, tourism, air services and investments, among others.
