The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stressed on Monday that with the registration of candidates for regional elections to be held in October this year, the opposition is acknowledging the legitimacy of the National Electoral Council chaired by Tibisay Lucena .
«All political parties of the opposition: Acción Democrática of Henry Ramos Allup; Un Nuevo Tiempo by Manuel Rosales; Primero Justicia of Capriles Randonski and Voluntad Popular of Leopoldo Lopez, registered their candidacies in the 23 governorates of the country. It means that they acknowledge the legitimacy of the National Electoral Council and the elections of the National Constituent Assembly», said the National President during an anti-imperialist mobilization held at Miraflores Palace in Caracas.
He warned the Revolutionary people that in October «We have a new battle for peace, for the sovereignty and the future of Venezuela». In that sense, he urged all the people to participate and win the regional elections.
«From now on I call on all the people, there will be the candidates of Donald Trump and there will be the candidates of the People and the Revolution. Are you going to vote for the «Guarimberos» (Rioter) candidates? Or for the candidates for peace, life, and the Constituent Assembly? I am confident that in October we will have a great victory of the Bolivarian people, a great victory of dignity, the conscience and the national peace», he emphasized.
