President Maduro meets with the National Council of Productive Economy

With a view to advancing the economic diversification of the country, this Thursday afternoon the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, led a meeting with the National Council of Productive Economy.

From the Humboldt Hotel, located in the Warairarepano mountain in Caracas, the Head of State drew up strategies to overcome oil rentism and turn Venezuela into an export power.

Earlier, the national leader insisted on the need to build a diversified economic model, based on the 18 Productive Engines of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda.

The National Council of Productive Economy was established on January 19, 2016 with the participation of public and private companies, organizations that represent the country’s productive sectors and ministerial authorities, with the objective of designing strategies that contribute to development.

Among the purposes of the economic entity is to promote the Productive Engines of the country, through the participation of the public and private sectors, to seek solutions that allow us to more effectively combat the economic war.

The National President was accompanied by the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez and the Sectoral Vice Presidents of the Government.

In addition, the members of the National Council of Productive Economy are present, as well as the Associations and Chambers of the productive sectors.
