President Maduro urges people to be proud of the heroic history of Venezuela

The Venezuelan name keeps alive the historical struggle gestated by the patriotic heroes, who dedicated their lives to the fight for freedom, which resulted in independence from the Spanish yoke. That fight that began more than two hundred years ago continues in force in the Bolivarian nation to defeat the imperial hegemony that still tries to subjugate the Bolivarian people. The distinguished fighters of Venezuela are an example of resistance, struggle and patriotism.

On the occasion of the bicentennial era, through his account on the X social network (Twitter), the Head of State wrote: “Venezuelan men and women celebrate the independence feat that was achieved with the wisdom and faith of the heroes and heroines who accompanied our Liberator Simón Bolívar. Worthy example of resistance, struggle and patriotism. Let us be proud of our history!”

In another post, the national president recalled that “Simón Bolívar, already considered “the great man of America”, arrived in Peru 200 years ago, to save the independence project threatened by a serious social, political and military crisis; that deep will, solidarity and spirit of union of The Liberator, is our pride and most precious heritage”.

It should be noted that, on September 1, 1823, the Father of the Nation, Simón Bolívar, had traveled from Guayaquil (Gran Colombia), to enter Lima, the capital of Peru, and lead the republican forces in the War of Independence against the Spanish.
