The re-elected President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, listed the 6 lines of action to make a renewal of the Bolivarian Revolution.
“With the spirit of the future of the construction of what’s new. Venezuela needs a new beginning in revolution, with revolution and to make revolution (…) I could see and listen to a people and I was convinced of the need for a new beginning of the Bolivarian Revolution, with the renewing spirit that only a teacher like Hugo Chávez could teach us”, he said.
The Head of State attended before the Constituent Power to deliver the credentials emanated by the People’s Power and issued by the Electoral Power that accredited him as president-elect for the period 2019-2025, exercise that begins on January 10.
Following, the lines of work for the 2019-2025 term, presented by President Nicolás Maduro:
1. Great dialogue and the pacification of Venezuela. The dialogue must cover the political, economic, social, and cultural fields, summoning the most diverse sectors of the country. In this line he reported that he presented before the Truth, Justice, Forgiveness and Reunification Commission of the ANC a proposal to free a group of people involved in political violence, to begin a process of national reconciliation.
“I hope that all the sectors involved in the political violence of 2014-2017 will go to the streets to do politics. I want a policy of pacification, of reunion, of reunification and reconciliation of Venezuela”, he said.
2. A productive economic agreement to achieve the stabilization of the economy and a growing, sustained, sustainable recovery for the production of wealth and satisfaction of needs.
3. Renewed and frontal struggle against all forms of corruption and the emergence of a new patriotic, citizen, social, and economic ethic.
“Let’s launch a devastating offensive against corruption, bureaucracy, the wrong thing. Above all, a creative offensive for a new patriotic ethic”, urged the President.
4. Strengthening and expanding the achievements of the People’s Power, the Social Security System and Social Protection.
5. The defense of Venezuela against the attacks of imperialism. The defense of institutions.
“In the last two months we have faced conspiracies and we have captured the conspirators. Properly convicted and confessed”, he reported. He said the purpose was to avoid the elections on May 20 and added that the conspiracy was financed by the US embassy and the Colombian government.
6. To build the Christian, Bolivarian, Chavista, Robinsonian, Zamorista, Independentist and rebel socialism. He called to build in all institutions and all spaces the five dimensions of socialism identified by Commander Chávez, these are: ethics, moral and spiritual; the political, ideological and institutional; the social; the economy; and the territorial one.
