The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro Moros, leads the act on the occasion of the 86th anniversary of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), from the Group of Command Actions, located in Macarao (Caracas).
The GNB is a component of the FANB, which obtained constitutional rank with the impetus given to it by the Bolivarian Revolution through the Magna Carta, and whose purpose, in the words of the Head of State, is to guarantee protection and service to the people. in order to protect the internal security of the nation.
Regarding this day, in which more than 3,000 women and men of the GNB participate in the presidential activity, President Maduro highlighted the protective nature of this military body:
“The Bolivarian National Guard reaches its 86th anniversary with a morale strengthened by Bolivarian ideals, training women and men committed to the duty of safeguarding the integrity of the Homeland and the security of the People. Sentinels of the Homeland, they are a valuable example of loyalty and sacrifice”, he wrote in his @NicolasMaduro account on the X social network.
The Dignitary was accompanied by the first combatant woman of the Republic and deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Cilia Flores; the sectoral Vice President for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, Vladimir Padrino López, the FANB Strategic Operational Commander, Domingo Hernández Lárez, together with General and Admiral officers, members of the FANB Superior General Staff.
