President denounces media campaign promoted by the US to attack the Venezuelan economy

Don’t pay attention to the unsuccessful prognosticators, the campaigns of political and psychological manipulation. Let’s not allow our economy and its recovery to be politicized (…) -there is a campaign- that is being advanced by the State Department of the United States and its puppets in Venezuela, who try to fill with false news -and thus hide- the true economic growth of Venezuela in 2023”.

The denounce corresponds to the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, who assured that the US promotes a campaign that seeks to position in the media that Venezuela “entered again into recession and they base it on false data, when we Venezuelans are united and committed to work and diversifying the economy”.

During a conference called “Productive Socialism” from Miraflores Palace, the President asserted that the Voice Of America portal maintains a campaign through false headlines:

“They intend to impose opinion matrixes out of malice, and use (their) candidates to reproduce economic warfare announcements,” he warned.

In this regard, he reported that, according to an analysis by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Venezuelan economy projects a growth of 5.5% for this 2023:

“The economy that produces goods, services, wealth and I am sure that with what we are seeing economic growth will exceed those projections of 5.5%,” he said.

In context, he urged producers and businessmen not to fall into the trap of false projections: “We are going to grow, produce, and we are going to position Venezuela as one of the main economies in Latin America and the Caribbean. We are united and committed to work and to diversify the economy, to make the economy grow”.

Finally, he insisted on the need to consolidate the diversified economy in the country, the Bolivarian Economic Agenda and the 18 Economic Engines: “We have the plan, we are working permanently, we are stimulating the country’s productive sectors in coordination with the governing bodies,” he concluded.
