President Maduro ratifies his government's disposition to a serious political dialogue

“I confirm to the opposition my desire for dialogue, with an open agenda, without conditions, but with the cards on the table and without playing dirty. I am willing to establish a serious, high-level political dialogue for the peace of the country. I say the same to the government of the United States even though it has assumed a policy of brutal interventionism against Venezuela”.
The statement was made on Wednesday by President Nicolás Maduro, during an international press conference held a few hours of his participation in the presidential inauguration ceremony before the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), in which he will assume his second mandate corresponding to the 2019-2025 Presidential term.
During his speech, the Venezuelan leader reiterated his commitment to work to achieve fruitful relations, of respect and of future with the US government, while urging the US president, Donald Trump, to change the policy of aggression inherited from former President Barack Obama.
“I will work all my life for a relationship of dialogue and respect with the Government of the United States,” he reiterated.
