From the National Assembly (AN), the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, offered the Annual Message to the Nation, where he indicated that the economic results of Venezuela in 2022 were full of spirit, victory and economic progress, despite the sanctions.
For his part, the head of state, explained that the impact of the blockade against Venezuela is reflected in:
– A 42% of decisions and measures against government agencies.
– The oil industry was affected by 18.7%; which is the generator of the maximum wealth of the country.
– More than 17% of sanctions were directed at the economy and finances of the Republic; where it includes the prohibition of opening bank accounts to sell and collect products distributed abroad.
– Approximately 20 billion dollars and gold are sequestered in different accounts of the Bank of England.
– 7% of decisions have been against the private sector that has been affected.
– By 2015, Venezuela produced 2.8 million barrels of oil, the first decree of the former president of the United States, Barack Obama, affected the sale of hydrocarbons abroad.
– From 2017 to 2019, former President Donald Trump ratified the sanctions, promoted by the “parallel government” of Juan Guaidó.
– Venezuela obtains a 99% drop in the country’s oil revenues, investment activity, exploration, exploitation, production of petroleum products, marketing, sales and collection of activities are subject to interventionism.
– Unilateral coercive measures were 927 against the country’s persecution.
– With the decrease in production in the oil sector, Venezuela stopped receiving 232 billion dollars, destined for salaries, social rights, education, health, food, housing and infrastructure for general development.
– Between the 2021-2022 term, only entered 1% of what the economic sector should have received.
– Finally, the president, Nicolás Maduro, made a call to value and fairly place the effort whose purpose is to defend social rights and the life of the people.
