This Wednesday, March 26, the Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, maintained that US imperialism, Guyana, and the European Union (EU) should review the history of the valiant people of Venezuela, who have fought for 500 years for their sovereignty and independence.
During his «Con el Mazo Dando” (Hitting with the Hammer) program, on its broadcast number 520, he reiterated that it is good to review history «because one hears threats from the United States, from Guyana, from the European Union, one hears threats from some countries, from organizations as well, threatening Venezuela and its people.»
He pointed out that, «Those who believe they are going to defeat us with a sanction or a threat should review the history that has happened here in these 500 years, and how this People has reacted when challenged, and even more whenever they have tried to subdue it.»
In that sense, he pointed out that these entities «declare Venezuelans as enemies. Imagine that. We went from being an unusual and extraordinary threat to being enemies.»
He emphasized that all this action «is part of the escalation; our response has always been cautious; we are not desperate at all.»
«Nerves of steel, calm and prudence, and maximum mobilization of our People, as we have been doing for some time,» he emphasized.
He affirmed, «How many years do we have? And how many more we have left.»
