Saab: The Public Ministry is the pillar of justice and will guarantee peace in the country

The Attorney General of the Republic Tarek William Saab, confirmed on Sunday his commitment to the Venezuelan Justice System, adding that within the Public Ministry work hard to eradicate the culture of impunity established by the previous administration.

“The Public Ministry is the pillar of justice in the country and the culture of impunity breaks the justice system (…)” I think we must be very prepared to achieve institutional balance, citizen peace, beyond any economic problems. You have to work with optimism, be positive from a collective work perspective, and yes, I think we will achieve it because this country will survive any adversity”, he said.

During an interview with journalist Jose Vicente Rangel, he explained that since the beginning of his administration he has fought against impunity and dismantling corruption schemes, a crime for which there are 100 detainees.

“We have regained a great State credibility of the Public Ministry towards the country. When you fight against corruption and organized crime, you seek the tranquility of the country and the work”, he added.

Saab pointed out that the Public Ministry is committed to doing justice and vindicating the vulnerable and to go to the big cases of corruption, drug trafficking, organized crime, money laundering among other crimes that have tainted the country.
