The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted on Wednesday multilateralism as a mechanism to strengthen cooperation ties with the nations of the continent:
“In the construction of a new humanity, we are strengthening unbreakable ties of cooperation and respect with the peoples of the continent, under the vision of multilateralism and the Bolivarian mystique”, published Maduro on his account on the Twitter social network.
In the message, he shared a video of the recent visit to the nation by the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, as part of the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
At the meeting, both presidents signed a joint declaration on commercial, economic, border security, the fight against drug trafficking, as well as the strengthening of diplomatic and consular relations and the good treatment of the migrant population.
