Executive Vice President holds meeting with the Deputy Prosecutor of the ICC

The Vice President of the Republic Delcy Rodríguez, made a courtesy visit, where she held a meeting with the assistant prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Mame Mandiaye Niang, in which they exchanged various topics in the field of Human Rights (HR), including the lifting of unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela.

The information was provided through her account on the Twitter social network, @delcyrodriguezv, in which she detailed: “We explained the Venezuela 2 case on unilateral coercive measures and their general impact on the enjoyment of the Venezuelan people’s human rights, as well as elements of legal assistance to Venezuela”.

Was also discussed the need for cooperation and dialogue to guarantee justice in accordance with the Rome Statute, which establishes a process of legality and complementary jurisdiction for dealing with particularly harmful criminal forms.

It is worth noting that these indirect measures end up limiting access to food, medicine, primary supplies, machinery, spare parts and equipment necessary to guarantee fundamental rights and ensure the normal development of the Venezuelan population.
