Venezuela-Iran High-Level Delegation advances for cooperation framework agreement

The Venezuela-Iran High-Level delegation is advancing in the concretion of a framework agreement for cooperation between the two countries in seven sectors, as announced on Monday the People’s Power Minister for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, from the city of Tehran. Iran, where the deliberations are taking place.

On this point, he pointed out that “after two days of intense sessions, in this ninth bi-national meeting, the seven commissions that have been appointed have made extraordinary progress and we are working on a framework agreement that covers seven large sectors: energy, science, technology, health, education, agriculture, and tourism”.

He indicated that in the case of agriculture, both delegations are working on the phytosanitary and zoosanitary protocols, “that were approved, advance in the exchange process, of products of animal and vegetable origin”.

He explained that in the pharmacological sector, “there are important agreements on advances to improve cancer treatment”.

He indicated that there are more than 40 companies that intend to invest in Venezuela. Regarding scientific cooperation, the minister pointed out that work is being done on the scientists exchange.
