President Maduro awards National Prize for History at the World Poetry Festival

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, presented the 2021 National History Award at the 16th World Poetry Festival of Venezuela 2022, which was held as part of the Bicentennial of the Poem: “Mi Delirio en el Chimborazo” (My Delirium in Chimborazo).

The event was held at the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas, in the company of the sector vice president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez and the Minister of People’s Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas and president of the National Center of History (CNH), Alexander Torres.

Among the winners were: Germán Emilio Yépez, who has worked as a teacher and researcher with extensive experience and one of the research topics is about the health problems that overwhelmed the population of America in the times of the Spanish colony.

Likewise, Ema Martínez, historian and noted for her research on the participation of women in the revolutionary movements of the 19th century, her contribution has contributed to the study of education in Venezuela.
