“I accept the proposal so that within a month, exactly from November 12 to 14, we hold the Congress of the New Era of the Indigenous Peoples of Venezuela, of the United Indigenous Movement of Venezuela,” said President Nicolás Maduro Moros.
“We are 30 days away from seeing each other again in Congress and deciding on a joint Work Plan, to continue titling ancestral Indian lands, we must hand over the Indigenous lands!, to continue supporting agricultural food production, to continue supporting the discussion of the native culture, to continue supporting the education of our Indigenous girls, boys and youth, to promote technological development from the ancestral knowledge that is so profound”, he summarized from Miraflores.
He announced that for this “Great Indigenous Congress”, as he described it, indigenous international delegations from Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, all of Central America, Mexico, the US and Canada will be invited, without stopping alongside the native Chilean peoples, the Mapuches.
“To the Mapuche Indigenous of Chile, so repressed in Chile, the Mapuche People, a greeting to the Mapuche people so persecuted, so tortured and so martyred in Chile today,” said the Venezuelan Dignitary.
