Due to the serious effects suffered by the people of Las Tejerías, in Aragua state, after the passing of the rainfalls watercourse, the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, decreed three days of mourning in solidarity with the families, 22 people have died and 52 remain missing. Five streams overflowed.
The information was made known through his account on the Twitter social network:
“Due to the serious situation resulting from the large-scale landslide caused by the rainfalls, I decreed in the communities that make up Las Tejerías, a Natural Disaster and Catastrophe Zone, and 3 days of national mourning starting today #OCT09, in solidarity with the affected families”.
