Venezuela vaccinated 80 percent of the population against Covid-19

Thanks to the National Immunization Plan, Venezuela reached 80% of the population vaccinated against the Coronavirus.

The vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, pointed out that she estimates that by the end of 2021 will be achieved the goal of 90% immunized people.

Through the Twitter platform, the senior official stated that with vaccination, prevention and care, it is necessary to continue fighting the virus; In this sense, she reported that in the last 24 hours, 473 new infections were registered in Venezuela by community transmission.

Barinas detected 148 active infections in 8 municipalities, 144 cases in Monagas, 75 in Lara and 30 in Yaracuy state. Unfortunately 9 compatriots died; to date there are 5,186 deaths due to Covid-19.

At 629 days after the pandemic, the total number of infections is 434,133, the recovered patients are 421,495 and the current active cases are 7,452.
