AN will authorize appointment of eight new ambassadors

The Permanent Commission on Foreign Policy, Sovereignty and Integration of the National Assembly will authorize the National Executive’s appointment of new ambassadors of Venezuela to the European Union, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Norway, Syria, Qatar and Russia.

This was reported by the president of the aforementioned commission, deputy Timoteo Zambrano, who indicated that, on the other hand, was authorized the appointment of Calixto Ortega Ríos as head of the diplomatic mission of Venezuela before the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, the Criminal Court Court (CPI) and other international organizations and courts before the Kingdom of the Netherlands, according to an institutional press release.

Zambrano announced that Jorge Hidalgo Valero Briceño will be the ambassador to the European Union, David Nieves Velásquez Caraballo to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, José Rafael Silva Aponte to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ramón Antonio Gordils Montes to the Kingdom of Norway, José Gregorio Biomorgi Muzzatiz to the Syrian Arab Republic, Carlos José Mata Figueroa to the State of Qatar, and Jesús Rafael Salazar Velásquez to the Russian Federation.
