President Nicolás Maduro announces flexibility will be maintained in the country

While announcing that Venezuela reached the record figure of 96% of population over 18 years of age of the country vaccinated, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that open flexibility will be maintained throughout the national territory.

During the commemorative act for the 64th anniversary of the civic-military rebellion of January 23, 1958, the head of state reiterated his call for the population to be immunized to continue fighting the pandemic that has worsened lately.

In this sense, he warned that the country broke the record of infections per day, as well as the infection rate, which went from 5 to 42 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a situation of accelerated growth that requires all Venezuelans to increase care and compliance with the biosecurity and immunization measures.

Children must be vaccinated. It is the safest thing there is, vaccines in the world are being produced for boys and girls. Any 4-year-old child has already 18 vaccines in his body, they are prepared to receive protective vaccines”, he stressed from Miraflores palace.

In this sense, he emphasized that “the Omicron variant is not more lethal, but Coronavirus is treacherous”, in the face of which it is necessary to remain alert and with our guard up.

“We can continue managing the situation with prevention and care”, which is why he ratified that the general flexibility will be maintained to favor the development of educational, labor and economic activities.
