Diosdado Cabello called for the permanent mobilization of the people before imperial threats

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) reiterated on Monday his call to the people to stay in the streets before the threats from the national and international right wing against the country.

“We are morally and ethically obliged to defend our homeland, those who are here who called for the attack have to assume their responsibility, because they will be treated as attackers”, said Cabello during the PSUV press conference in Caracas.

When consulted on his opinion regarding the military exercises that the US Southern Command will start with Colombia, between January 23 and 29, Cabello said the US government has nine military bases in the neighboring country:

“The Colombian defense minister does not make any decision without consulting the (U.S.) Southern Command, there (in Colombia) is not Iván Duque who rules”, he said.

He pointed out that before the military maneuvers the people remains in permanent mobilization. “Imperialism has been threatening us for 21 years, and that has strengthened us”, he said.
