Maduro orders new digital registry of Communes and Communal Councils

This Wednesday, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced the beginning of the registration and inscription of communal councils through the internet.

During a tour of the Altos de Lídice Commune in Caracas, the national president said that the process will now be automated and direct without intermediaries;

The new process of registration and inscription of all the communal councils of the country is opened. We go to a new automated process online, directly. Communes and communal councils, the time has come to build socialism in the territorial, is the creation of Commander Hugo Chávez”, he specified.

In this regard, the Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Jorge Arreaza, explained that from now on they can be registered on the www.mincomunas.gob.ve website.

In this way, local organizations will be able to upload the minutes of the assembly, the voting results and the names of the spokespersons, “and right there the system issues the certificate, the birth certificate and you don’t have to queue, you don’t have to pay anyone, but you do the work with democratized technology”.

He added that this measure seeks to end bureaucratism and corruption. He denounced that in some states they charged for birth and renewal certificates of communal councils.
