The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, outlined eight work fronts that guided the achievements of 2023, among which he highlighted the consolidation of the economy’s growth:

“We set out to consolidate the economic growth of a new diversified model in which we have been working progressively, step by step, successfully, in the face of criminal actions, adding the human ingredient, which gives meaning to our project: Equality”.

The national President explained that with this, the goal of “concentrating efforts on concrete actions that would have a real immediate and lasting impact on productive development, at the different levels of the 18 engines of the national economy” was placed as a priority.

He highlighted that thanks to the initiative to overcome oil rentism, dependency and the creation of alternative formulas to neoliberal recipes:

“We achieved important balances in a war economy and only by preserving those balances can we move to the phase of virtuous stability. The next phase,” stressed the Head of State.
