President Maduro: Economy and public services are a priority of the Federal Council of Government

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, emphasized on Monday that the priority of the Federal Council of Government should be to attend to the economy and public services in the country.

During the plenary session of the Federal Council of Government, the national president stressed that of the 100% of the investment destined for governors and mayors, the resources must be distributed: 35% in water; 25% in electricity; 20% on roads; 10% in gas and 10% in disposal of solid waste:

The priorities of the Federal Council of Government are already established. The first, the economy, with great force, but also, focus these resources that we are going to deliver every two months. Every two months, part of the resources will be delivered and in a rhythmic way, investing in public services. Public services as a priority, a priority of the national government, governorships, mayors and the People’s power”, emphasized the head of the Venezuelan State during this work journey held at Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.

He also explained the general distribution of the resources to be assigned to the regions through the Federal Government Council: 33% for the governorates; 25% mayors; 27% People’s Power and 15% for the institutional strengthening of the Federal Council of Government.

President Nicolás Maduro announced that it is planned to deliver to the governorates, for VAT collection, a total of Bs. 312,580,454.33, whose first disbursement should take place in the next few hours, for an amount of approximately Bs 18,546,000:

“All this must be transformed into investment so that people have water, so that the electricity supply is regularized, to address the issue of solid waste, gas, roads and access to the most remote areas,” he said.

To salarize the bonds of the Homeland:

During his intervention in the plenary, the head of the Venezuelan State indicated that work is being done to pay salaries and increase all the bonuses that are delivered to workers through the Patria System.

He announced that for this an amount will be delivered to the Governments, in order to cancel the bonuses of the country to the workers.

“This year we are going to focus on paying the bonds of the country and increasing them,” he said.
