The president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro, announced this Sunday that Jorge Arreaza is the candidate for the regional elections on January 9, 2022 for Barinas state:
“We have decided to launch a tried, capable and brave man for the governorship of Barinas state: Comrade Jorge Arreaza”, he said during his speech this Sunday in the framework of the political meeting with the GPP (Great Patriotic Pole) to define the candidacy of the revolutionary forces in that entity.
Maduro explained that for the election of Arreaza as a candidate for the governorship of Barinas, “a political evaluation was carried out. He is very honest, with great political ethics, he is not afraid of anything”, he said.
In this context, the head of state called for the construction of a government program for Barinas state focused on changes and renewal, while calling on the people to support the candidate for the GPP in the upcoming elections.
He also announced that the resources are already approved to recover the Belarusian companies in Barinas, while expressing all the support of the National Government for the candidacy of Jorge Arreaza.
Three “R’s”:
By accepting the candidacy of the revolutionary forces for the election for Governor of Barinas state, Arreaza thanked the President of the Republic and the people of Barinas for their trust, and affirmed that as of this Monday he will be deployed listening and solving the problems of the people of Barinas.
He indicated that this Monday, December 6, he will proceed to formalize the registration of his candidacy at 4 in the afternoon at the headquarters of the National Electoral Council (CNE), for which he asked the people to accompany him in what he described as a new stage for the people of Barinas.
He emphasized that he will apply an immediate plan of revision, rectification and re-impulse in all areas to improve the quality of life of the people of Barinas:
“(We must) insist on the need for unification, let’s remember that Commander Chávez in 2007 gave us the three R‘s: the Revision, the Rectification and the Re-impulse. And we will apply those three R‘s in Barinas (…) we ask the ministries and all the institutions of the executive power to thoroughly review their work in the state”, he said in an assembly with the bases of the PSUV, held on the roofed field of the “Francisco de Miranda” urban planning in Barinas.
For his part, the first vice president of PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, pointed out that the Aristóbulo Istúriz National Campaign Command will move to Barinas to guarantee the massive participation of the people in the elections to the governor.
He asserted that will activate teams in the 12 municipalities of the plains entity to visit rural and urban areas and see the inhabitants of the most vulnerable areas face to face.
