Russian Foreign Minister Serguei Lavrov announced the unconditional support to Venezuela’s constitutional government, led by President Nicolás Maduro Moros, in the face of interventionist threats from the United States:
“We will do everything possible to support the legitimate government of President Nicolás Maduro, in defense of the Venezuelan Constitution and the methods of regulation found in the constitutional field”, he said.
“We are concerned about what the US is doing with its closest allies regarding Venezuela, flagrantly violating all conceivable norms of international law and in fact plotting the course towards the overthrowing of the legitimate authority in this Latin American country”, denounced the Russian representative.
