The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Pedro Calzadilla, urged the directors of the main public and private social media in the country to guarantee equal conditions to the political parties and candidates who will participate in the electoral campaign.
The appeal was made during a meeting held between the authorities of the CNE and the representatives of the main television stations, radio networks and printed media in the country.
Calzadilla proposed to the union to cover in their daily informative programming the campaign acts of at least four of the political parties participating in the contest, and that at least one coverage correspond to the activities of candidates who have not contracted advertising guidelines with that particular media outlet, as reviews a press release.
