The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that the National Government is evaluating the implementation of a new method that will ensure the health of Venezuelans, heading towards relative normality and biosecurity for the months of November and December.
In this regard, the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that this new method seeks the evolution towards a biosecure normality, an initiative developed based on the progress made in the vaccination of the population, said during a presidential pass from the vaccination center located in the «Papá Carrillo» Gym in the Los Dos Caminos sector, Sucre municipality of Miranda state.
She pointed out that the application of the «Traffic Light for Health» is being evaluated for access to public places, such as restaurants, which will work as follows:
Green light: registers vaccinated people.
Yellow light: healthy people, but without vaccine.
Red light: will register people without a vaccine and who have had covid-19 in the last 21 days.
President Nicolás Maduro announced that the implementation of this preventive plan could take place from the third week of October:
«Despite being vaccinated, we must maintain prevention measures in order to avoid infections”, he insisted, calling on young people and the general population to go to the nearest vaccination center, to access immunization without needing a prior appointment.
He added that Venezuela has the necessary vaccines to reach the goal of 70% of the immunized population by the end of the year:
“We must take care, the people’s conscience must predominate. It will never be enough to say the need to take care of yourself to flatten the contagion curve and throw it down”, said Maduro.
