Erdogan highlighted the beginning of a new stage in relations between Turkey and Venezuela

The president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, highlighted on Monday that his visit to Venezuela opens a new stage of deepening relations between both countries:

“We are opening a new page in our relations with Venezuela. From now on, our efforts will give concrete and better results and for that we will work even more”, he said at the Turkey-Venezuela business forum held in the José Felix Ribas Hall of the Teresa Carreño Theater, in Caracas.

“We believe this meeting will inspire better thoughts and ideas to strengthen our relations and diversify our collaboration”, said the Turkish president, regarding his first visit to Venezuelan territory.

He stressed that Turkey is on the side of Venezuela to confront the imperialist attacks against the South American country.

The Turkish president arrived on Sunday night and was welcomed by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, and the Vice President of the Economic Area, Tareck El Aissami, at the Simón Bolívar International Airport, in Maiquetía.

Venezuela and Turkey have ratified their commitment to work together for the development of their potential, among which stand out tourism, agricultural production and energy.

Recently, they signed an economic-commercial cooperation agreement and the visit made in 2018 by President Nicolás Maduro to the Eurasian country paved the way for the strengthening of bilateral relations.
