The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, ordered this Wednesday to work in order to protect the strategic items of national production such as onions, potato and tomato.
During the development of a new productive Wednesday day, from the Bimbo Bread plant in Venezuela, located on the Guarenas-Guatire axis in Miranda state, the national president instructed the holding of a work table with the producers, in this case from Táchira state, to deal with products that are being smuggled in:
“Rest assured that I will fully protect you from the products that enter by contraband. National products must be protected, items such as potatoes, onions, and tomatoes”, he emphasized.
Likewise, he directed Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, and the Minister for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, to strengthen the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP) with the incorporation of proteins and other items such as coffee.
In this regard, he stated that more than a year ago, 60% of CLAP products were imported, but now, he pointed out, «100% of them are national production items”.
He added that through the CLAPs, they went from serving 6 million to 7 million Venezuelans.
“A year ago they sanctioned the CLAPs by request of the G4 group, they thought this way they could harm the people, and today we are producing at 100% (…) Who asked for the sanctions for the CLAPs? Juan Guaidó, Julio Borges and Leopoldo López, they have no ethical or moral limits”, he said.
Throughout the journey the head of state made television contacts to show the results of production in areas such as corn, rice, soybeans and other items in the states Apure, Mérida, Guárico and Monagas.
In 2021, the economic and commercial recovery of the country has been promoted:
The national president assured that thanks to the policies promoted by the Bolivarian Government, despite the aggressions and the financial blockade against the country, during the current 2021 the economic and commercial recovery of the Nation has been promoted:
“Despite the attack on the economy, we have been able to advance and part of that has been thanks to foreign investment (…) we are advanced with the corresponding laws so that foreign investment comes to the country and impacts the real economy, Venezuela has faced during years a criminal attack against its productive economy”, affirmed Maduro.
