Venezuela and the UN agree to promote human rights of people with HIV or AIDS

The Venezuelan Ombudsman’s Office and the United Nations Joint Program on HIV / AIDS (UNAIDS) in the country signed on Monday an agreement to promote, defend and monitor compliance with the human rights of people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or with AIDS:

“Ombudsman Alfredo Ruiz and the Director of UNAIDS in Venezuela, Regina López, sign an agreement for a joint work plan to promote, defend and monitor the human rights of people with HIV / AIDS,” published the Ombudsman’s office on its account on Twitter.

In a statement, shared on the same social network, they explained that the agreement will be to develop a work plan for the remainder of the year and whose lines of action will focus on promoting and disseminating the Law for the Promotion and Protection of Equality of the People with HIV / AIDS and their Families.
