Jorge Rodríguez: We achieved it again in Mexico

The head of the delegation of the constitutional government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the dialogues with the opposition, Jorge Rodríguez, announced that this Monday two partial agreements were signed between both parties meeting in Mexico.

While emphasizing the success of this round of talks with the phrase “We achieved it again in Mexico”, Rodríguez pointed out that the partial agreements are as follows:

The first has to do with “the ratification and defense of Venezuela’s sovereignty over Guayana Esequiba, a profound declaration of support, respect for history and the inalienable right that our country has over these territories.”

The second partial agreement is linked to the social protection of the Venezuelan people: “It refers to the need for Venezuela to recover the assets and resources abroad, stolen and kidnapped from Venezuela”.

He added that the rescue of these resources will allow them to be destined “to the attention of Covid 19, to the acquisition of vaccines, to the provision of hospitals, to strengthen food programs and to face the post-pandemic economy and social care for the people”.

“As a summary, we can tell you that we did it again in Mexico, beyond the profound differences that we maintain”, emphasized Rodríguez, commenting that “there is still a long way to go, we have a long way to go, many issues to discuss, but today we have shown that we can say the harshest things and maintain our positions within the approaches”.

Jorge Rodríguez also announced that the dialogue process between both parties will continue on September 24.

Finally, he thanked the impeccable facilitation of the representatives of the Norwegian government for their “active accompaniment in the meetings”, as well as the government of Mexico, “because they have provided all the facilities so that we can advance in the dialogue.”
