Rectors of CNE and deputies of the Special Commission for Dialogue, Peace and Reconciliation reviewed progress of the electoral schedule

The rectors of the National Electoral Council and the members of the Special Commission for Dialogue, Peace and Reconciliation of the National Assembly, held a meeting to review the progress of the lapses and the activities of the elections scheduled for November 21, 2021.

At the meeting that took place this Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at the headquarters of the Electoral Power, the president of the CNE, Pedro Calzadilla, expressed the willingness of the electoral authorities to open institutional spaces to the various actors and recalled the meetings that have argued with the leaders of organizations for political purposes.

The deputy for the Acción Democrática party, Eduardo Martínez, expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the Electoral Schedule of the Regional and Municipal Elections 2021 and declared on the robustness and transparency of the Venezuelan Automated Voting System.

Among other important aspects, parliamentarian Martínez urged the Venezuelan men and women and the representatives of the different organizations with political purposes, to participate in the exercise of voting, as a tool for reconciliation and reinstitutionalization of the country.

Were present at the meeting, by the CNE, President Pedro Calzadilla, Vice President Enrique Márquez and Rector Tania D` Amelio, and by the Special Commission for Dialogue, Peace and Reconciliation of the National Assembly, the First Vice President, Luis Eduardo Martínez, the second vice president, Francisco Torrealba, deputies José Gregorio Correa, Roque Valero and Omar Ávila.
