The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, extended condolences to the People and Government of Antigua and Barbuda, for the death of Lester Bird, former Prime Minister and National Hero.
Lester Bird was a prominent regionalist, committed to the processes of Caribbean integration and cooperation.
Also, he demonstrated to possess an advanced political conscience that understood the importance of unity as a preponderant factor for the peoples.
Through a communiqué, the People and the Bolivarian Government wished strength and peace to the entire family of Mr. Lester Bird.
