This Thursday the Constitutional President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the FANB, Nicolás Maduro Moros, held a work meeting with the general officers and admirals of the Superior General Staff of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), as well as the Commanders of the REDI Integral Defense Strategic Regions and the ZODI Integral Defense Operational Zones, along with whom he reviewed all the actions deployed in the country in the integral defense field.
In a message published through his social networks, the Head of State confirmed that «today #Aug5 I held an important work meeting with the Higher General Staff and the Commanders of REDI and ZODI of the FANB. We reviewed the strategies, tactics and permanent deployment, which guarantees security, peace and integral defense of the national territory”.
Through the signal of Venezolana de Televisión-VTV, could be observed part of the development of this journey in which the national president was accompanied by the sectoral vice president for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, and Minister of People’s Power for Defense, G / J Vladimir Padrino López, and the FANB’s Strategic Operational Commander, G / J Antonio Hernández Lares.
It is worth remembering that the country has eight REDI Integral Defense Strategic Regions that make up the national territory’s protective shield: Western, Andean, Plains region, Central, Eastern, Guayana, Maritime-insular and Capital, which are under their command the Integral Defense Operational Zones, ZODI.
