President Nicolás Maduro informed this Sunday on the capture of the Colombian paramilitary chief a.k.a. “José Peligro” (Joe Danger), member of the paramilitary group that has been fighting in Apure state, who confessed that he was in the country “to go on a mission in Caracas”.

Do realize how they do not rest (…) These sectors of the extreme right wing are incurable nuclei in violence, hatred and terrorism, they receive all the support from Bogota and the North”, denounced the Head of State.

Dismantled plans:

President Maduro detailed that these criminal gangs coordinated and financed by Leopoldo López from Spain, intended to carry out a plan of violence to stain the commemorative acts of June 24 and July 5: “We alerted and acted to prevent it”.

In the face of the safeguard actions deployed by the national authorities, the terrorists activated the criminal plan of July 7, simultaneously in several points of the southwest of Caracas.

“But Operation Gran Cacique Guaicaipuro has been a strategic and forceful blow, with which it was possible to maintain the tranquility of our people”, he emphasized.

He pointed out that Operation Gran Cacique Indio Guaicaipuro “is an operation that has not ceased, nor will it cease”.

“We have our guard up, we are on alert and aware. I want to congratulate all the officers and officials who have acted in civic-military-police union in the Operation Cacique Indio Guaicaipuro and I instruct them to maintain the deployment until we catch all the members of this criminal, narco-paramilitary and terrorist gang, every one of them!”, he urged.

Justice:

In this sense, he requested the collaboration of all the Venezuelan people to achieve the capture of all the members and leaders of this criminal gang, and that the reward offered to find them remains in force.

“I ask the people, the Venezuelan families who want peace in their neighborhoods, in their communities, to hand over these criminal leaders of these gangs of Cota 905 (…) In order to be consolidated peace there must be justice, and I ask for justice against these criminals who murdered innocent people”, stressed Maduro.

He also instructed to give all support to the families of the 3 PNB officers and the GNB sergeant fallen in the line of duty during the actions to reestablish peace in Cota 905:

“Four fallen professionals, three PNB and 1 Bolivarian National Guard offered their lives for your peace, for your security, for your life, that is why I ask for justice, that is why they have to help us capture and deliver us these criminals who have associated with Colombian paramilitaries to attempt against Venezuela”, he urged.
