Turkey intending to invest in soybeans in Venezuela

In the company of Minister Wilmar Castro and Monagas Governor Ernesto Luna, this Monday the Minister of Agriculture of Turkey, Vahit Kirisci, who is visiting the country, inspected the planting of 20,000 hectares of soybeans in Monagas state.

Kirisci pointed out that for them the model companies in production attract their attention to invest: “We have 27 of our companies that will want to come to plant and harvest in the same style”.

He also explained that in his country after the food crisis —as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, climate change, among others— people began to understand the importance of agriculture.

The inspection was carried out at the Finca Tarragona farm, in the Cedeño municipality of west Monagas state.

This visit is part of the results achieved in agricultural matters in the last tour of President Nicolás Maduro through Eurasian countries.
