Venezuela and Belarus re-impulse binational cooperation in strategic sectors

As part of the agenda of binational activity that the Prime Minister of Belarus, Román Golovchenko, maintains in the country, this Monday he was welcomed by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in a meeting in which they reinforced the strengthening of the relations of brotherhood and solidarity between both peoples.

The senior official was accompanied by a Belarusian delegation that has been visiting Caracas since this Sunday, July 14. On behalf of the national Executive, were present the Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, and the sectoral vice president for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez.

During the pleasant conversation, both delegations carried out an assessment of the agreements held, regarding the Venezuela – Belarus Joint High Commission, held last November 2023, in which 13 agreements were signed. In addition, they discussed the cooperation route that will be developed in the next 10 years.

Likewise, they shared the vision of the future and reiterated the commitment to reinvigorate binational cooperation in strategic sectors, focused on productive and industrial issues with a view to the Special Economic Zones in the Bolivarian nation.

After reviewing the signed agreements, President Nicolás Maduro and Prime Minister Golovchenko talked about the upcoming presidential elections to be held in Venezuela on July 28, where was planned the participation of a delegation from Belarus as International Observers.
