The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Monday, June 28, that after the elections on November 21, the leadership figures corresponding to the regional and local protectorates will be eliminated.
Regarding this decision, the President pointed out that the winners in the November elections must assume their respective governance responsibilities in each of their regions and municipalities:
“I think the best thing is, whoever wins, assumes the government in their region, and we are going to eliminate the protectors by state and municipalities; Let the one who wins rule”, he said.
