COVID: Venezuela registers 1,229 community cases, recovery rate remains at 92%

A total of 1,229 cases of community transmission and 04 imported COVID-19 cases were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, while the recovery rate stands at 92% of the total cases, registering 234,393 patients recovered thanks to the free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.

This was announced by the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, through a series of publications on her account on the Twitter social network @delcyrodriguezv, during the customary daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for Control and Prevention of COVID-19.

In this sense, she explained that cases of community transmission are discriminated (by state) as follows: Mérida (231), Yaracuy (172), La Guaira (118), Zulia (118), Barinas (81), Aragua (73), Sucre (72), Miranda (61), Delta Amacuro (46), Trujillo (44), Caracas (39), Carabobo (38), Cojedes (37), Apure (35), Nueva Esparta (32), Monagas (19), Bolívar (5), Lara (2), Falcón (2), Amazonas (1), Portuguesa (1), Táchira (1) and Anzoátegui (1).

Of the imported cases, 3 come from Panama, two with entry through La Guaira state and one through Carabobo state, and one comes from Mexico with entry through Carabobo state.

The state where the most new community cases are registered today is Mérida (231), with active cases in 15 of its 23 municipalities: Libertador (112), Tovar (25), Rangel (21), Guaraque (20), Campo Elías (15), Sucre (15), Santos Marquina (07), Rivas Dávila (04), Pueblo Llano (03), Cardenal Quintero (02), Arzobispo Chacón (01), Zea (01), Miranda (01), Antonio Pinto Salinas (01), Alberto Adriani (01).

To date these are the general statistics:

Total infections: 254,116

Recovered patients: 234,393 (92%)

Current active cases: 16,858

12,397 cases are being treated in Hospitals, 3,942 in Integral Diagnostic Centers and 519 in private clinics

Total deceases: 2,865

Likewise, she regretted the death of 20 new victims to reach a death toll of 2,865:

– 2 men, 52 and 76 years old, and 2 women 58 and 91 years old from Miranda state

– 2 men, aged 71 and 42, and a woman aged 64 from Anzoátegui state

A 74-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman from Zulia state

– 2 men aged 70 and 76 from Nueva Esparta state

– 2 women aged 70 and 37 from Sucre state

– 2 women, 81 and 50 years old, from Yaracuy state

A 66-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man from Apure state

– A 50-year-old woman from Carabobo state

– A 41-year-old man from Trujillo state

– A 54-year-old woman from Portuguesa state
