President Maduro invites the people to participate in the Bolivarian Congress of the Peoples

A total of 8,339,844 people have joined and registered in the 41 chapters that are part of the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples, informed its coordinator, Héctor Rodríguez.

Rodríguez, in an activity with the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, explained that a third stage will begin and to date there are more than 30 requests to form Presidential Councils of Popular Government.

In regard to this, he stressed that everyone should have a presence in the communes of the country.

Of the 41 movements, he pointed out, they all already have a presence in at least 3,000 communes, a 75% of those constituted.

In addition, of the 8,339,844 people incorporated into Congress, the largest number are adults and older women, he added.

With all these organized groups, they have established links via WhatsApp, social networks and other methods for permanent communication.

Seminars have been held on political communication, training for state and municipal spokespersons, and other programs are being designed, the coordinator stressed.

Likewise, 700 communes have presented murals made by collectives, artists and more social movements.

Meanwhile, for the celebration of the 200 years of the Battle of Carabobo, another series of displays is being carried out with all the participants in the congress.

On the other hand, the Bicentennial Torch has traveled 3,200 kilometers in 900 communes, and other routes are scheduled in the coming days.

More than 4,000 people from 109 countries have interacted in video conferences to discuss many issues, he said.

President Maduro indicated that the congress has been created to articulate, mobilize and “unite everything that can be united against the enemies of the homeland” and work for the Simón Bolívar National Project.

Also, the president announced that the Presidential Councils of Popular Government for the Communes, Youth and Women will soon be installed.
