President Maduro materializes the milestone of 3 million housings delivered in Revolution

This Thursday the Great Mission Housing Venezuela (GMVV) reached the milestone of 3 million housings built for Venezuelan families.
The act was chaired by the head of State and Government, Nicolás Maduro Moros, in the Los Corales II urban planning, located in Caraballeda parish, La Guaira state.
In the coastal region, 45,131 housings have been built by the GMVV since its creation in 2011, of which more than 7,000 were delivered during 2019.
In conjunction with the Great Mission Barrio Nuevo Barrio Tricolor, 1,402,072 housings have also been rehabilitated, while the National Institute of Urban Lands has delivered 1,082,918 property titles.
70% of new housings will be erected under the self-construction method:
Of the national total homes that must be built annually, a 70% will be under the self-construction method in order to link the town with the Great Mission Housing Venezuela (GMVV).
The approach was made during the activity by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, who pointed out the need to improve the mechanisms of organization with the “Viviendo Venezolanos” (Living Venezuelan) Movement to regain the essence of the program created in 2011.
“We are going with more force to the original project of giving the land to the people so that they are involved in the construction of the building or house. 70% we are going to build in the self-construction system with the People’s Power, we will try to achieve it”, said the president.
In his speech, the dignitary instructed the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, to supervise, strengthen and deploy the actions of the Viviendo Venezolanos Movement.
The new goal to be met will be the construction of 5 million homes by 2025, so the Head of State estimated the completion of 500,000 homes per year.
