COVID: Venezuela registers 995 new infections and maintains a 91% recovery rate

This Sunday, a total of 995 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, all due to community transmission, raising the accumulated total of infections to 191,518, while the rate of recovered remains at 91%, thanks to the free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government. This was announced by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.

In this sense, Rodríguez reported that community cases were detected in the following states: Caracas (192), Yaracuy (144), Sucre (131), Miranda (119), Mérida (91), La Guaira (74), Zulia (53), Apure (48), Monagas (46), Carabobo (25), Cojedes (18), Aragua (15), Nueva Esparta (12), Guárico (12), Trujillo (7), Anzoátegui (3), Portuguesa (3) and Amazonas (2).

Likewise, she regretted the death of 19 new Venezuelans due to Covid-19, to reach the unfortunate figure of 2,400 deaths:

4 in Sucre state

3 in Miranda state

3 in Barinas state

3 in Lara state

2 in Anzoátegui state

2 in La Guaira state

1 in Apure state

1 in Trujillo state

Likewise, the Executive Vice President of the Republic pointed out that the death rate per million inhabitants in Brazil reaches 1,822, while Colombia reached 1,381 deaths per million inhabitants. Faced with this panorama in neighboring countries, she urged the Venezuelan people to maintain control over their borders, as well as the bio-sanitary protection shield.

For his part, the Head of State and Government, Nicolás Maduro, said that “We have been laying a leg for 13 months with the medical brigades, serving in the neighborhoods. 91% of people recovered, is the product of doctors and nurses who do not give up, and of free treatments”.

On this, the National President pointed out that “Apparently it seems that we have this second wave under control, and I say apparently because this pandemic is treacherous, it can be triggered anywhere, do not give up on taking care of yourself, under any aspect.
