211 years after the first cry of Freedom, the Libertarian Torch begins its journey to Carabobo

By meeting this Monday, April 19, the 211th anniversary of the first cry of freedom and emancipation of Venezuela, will begin in Caracas the national journey of the Libertarian Torch towards Carabobo.

This was stated by the Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, when declaring this Monday as a day of celebration for all Venezuelans “by honoring the struggles and legacy of our Liberator Simón Bolívar.”

“This April 19 is the 211th anniversary of the cry for freedom, the day when the people of Caracas kicked out the captain of the colony, of the Spanish empire. Tomorrow (Monday) the route to Carabobo begins, we have set great goals and we will celebrate at the level of Commander Chávez”, emphasized the Head of State.

Regarding this historic journey and route that will begin this Monday, April 19, Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez detailed that the “Great March of the Libertarian Torches” will travel through the 23 states of the country and the Capital District “hand in hand with the leaders of the Communal Councils, the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP), the Bolívar-Chávez Battle Units (UBCh), the communes, the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples”.

“In perfect civic-military-police union and in perfect national union, each region will receive the independence flame with special activities and official acts, with the provisions for the fulfillment of the bio-security measures in each case, but united and accompanied by the people who are celebrating the dignity and the glories inherited from our Liberator Simón Bolívar”, affirmed President Maduro.

Reflecting on the meaning and impact of the libertarian deed, he affirmed “what a great history, 211 years of April 19, 200 years of Carabobo and Venezuela goes into the 21st century pointing to the future, hope, the great, because what is coming for Venezuela is beautiful, it is our Homeland!”, expressed the President.

“Let’s have faith in everything we do, that our God blesses us every day, until victory always, we will overcome, we will always overcome!”, greeted the Head of State.
