The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez, met with the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez Gómez, who chairs his country’s delegation to the 21st Venezuela-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission.
During the fraternal meeting, the president ratified Cuba’s commitment to solidarity with the Venezuelan nation, as well as the will to continue improving bilateral cooperation.
Díaz Canel forcefully rejected the coercive and unilateral measures of the United States and its allies against the Homeland of Simón Bolívar and Hugo Chávez.
For her part, the Venezuelan Vice President reiterated her rejection of the intensification of the United States blockade against Cuba, as refers the Granma web portal.
Both government leaders exchanged bilateral and multilateral aspects, including the progress of collaborative ties, as well as the current regional and international political situation, tempered by the effects of COVID-19 for our peoples.
