First International Congress on the Rights of Girls, Boys and Adolescents develops in Maracaibo

With the evaluation of eight thematic axes, Maracaibo will hold until this Friday, July 30, the International Congress on the Human Rights of Children and Adolescents, an event organized by the Maracaibo Mayor’s Office, the Bolivarian University of Venezuela (UBV) and the Miranda International Center.

This event constitutes a space for debate, analysis and understanding of issues related to public management in favor of the human rights of minors and is developed through the social networks of the Mayor’s Office of Maracaibo on Facebook, YouTube and the Zoom platforms.

The issues under consideration under the virtual modality are the protection system for girls, boys and adolescents; the adolescent criminal responsibility system; psycho-social care and family counseling, and human rights and family institutions.

They also discuss municipal management and inter-institutional, national and international relations; access to justice and effective judicial protection; human rights and their guarantee in times of pandemic; and social exclusion, vulnerability and schooling in boys, girls and adolescents.
